Our Mission  

Greenwood Christian School began with a vision of Christians, in the Greenwood/Abbeville area, to establish a Christian school that would develop students who would make a difference in the world by serving others, taking with them the knowledge, wisdom and Biblical truth instilled in them.  In 1992, Greenwood Christian School opened its doors with an enrollment of 70 students.  The school has grown over the years and become a beacon to hundreds of families desiring to have their children nurtured in the fear and admonition of the Lord.  As a result of including God in the equation of education, GCS has become a school of academic excellence.
