Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to explore your options and consider Greenwood Christian School as a possibility for your student. GCS is a great school composed of dedicated faculty and staff who strive to balance academic excellence with the responsibility to develop Christ-honoring young leaders. We are in the business of partnering with our families to raise a generation that will influence our society for the glory of the Lord. In order to complete that mission, we must set the example so each child will aspire to his or her God-given potential. With the inclusion of Honors, AP and Dual-enrollment classes, our graduates leave GCS not only ready for the next level of learning, but having already proven their abilities with college credits.
Life isn't exclusively about academics at GCS, however. Our students participate in leadership activities, fine art opportunities and athletic offerings throughout the year. We use these activities to help the students develop physically, mentally, spiritually and socially. From K(4) through 12th grade each year every student takes Bible class and participates in age-appropriate weekly Chapel services.
I hope you find the school information below helpful in your consideration of Greenwood Christian School. I also understand that to truly experience the school, an appointment (including an informative tour of the school) will be helpful to a perspective family. Open enrollment begins March 1 and we would love to meet with you and give you a tour of our campus. Whether you schedule during Open House or through an individual appointment, I look forward to meeting you and sharing what God is doing at GCS! Please contact the school office at (864) 229-2427 or

(1) For your convenience, the Business Office has incorporated academic fees, science lab fees (Middle and High School), yearbook fees, technology fees, and athletic fees into the annual tuition. This allows you to spread the fees over the course of the year. If you have any questions regarding this, our Business Office personnel will be happy to help you. Families who do not wish to purchase a yearbook for each student should contact the Business Office by Sept. 15. A credit of $50.00 will be given for each yearbook not purchased.

EXPLANATION OF FEES:
* Enrollment Fee: New students must pay a $250 one-time non-refundable enrollment fee. This fee covers the administrative cost of testing the student and processing the application. This is only refundable if GCS cannot place the student in a class.
* Re-Enrollment Fee: The re-enrollment fee of $250 is for returning students to reserve their space in the school for next year. A discount of $100 per student will be applied if the re-enrollment fee is paid on or before February 29, 2012. A cap of $300 will be applied to families with three or more children if the re-enrollment fees are paid on or before February 29, 2012. A cap of $600 will be applied to families with three or more children if the fees are paid on or after February 29, 2012. The re-enrollment fee is non-refundable.
* Other Fees: For certain courses students may incur additional expenses not covered by tuition and fees listed above. (Example: There is an approximant fee of $100 for Athletic Conditioning for non-YMCA members).
* Child Care Fees: Parents with students in Half Day K4 and K5 may utilize the Child Care Program. Fees are $3.00 per hour for each child with a maximum charge of $200 per month and the fees are payable on a monthly basis. In order to comply with government regulations, the child cannot stay more than 4 hours per day in this program. The available hours for this program are 11:20 AM - 3:00 PM.
After School Care Fees: Greenwood Christian School now partners with the Greenwood YMCA in offering an After School program on our premises for our students. Please call the Greenwood YMCA for current prices and details on the program.
Bonus Bucks: The Bonus Bucks program is a major fundraiser for Greenwood Christian School that we encourage each family to participate in. Gift certificates are purchased from businesses in Greenwood and surrounding area at a discounted price and are sold to our families and friends at face value. (This means that the purchaser of a gift certificate receives one dollar buying power for every dollar purchased.) Vendors participating in the program include grocery stores, restaurants, clothing stores, and others. Funds generated through this program are used to bridge the gap between what tuition pays for and the actual cost to educate each child. We hope that each family will participate in this important program (details available in the Business Office).
